Coir Pith is a byproduct of the coir industry that is produced as a biomass leftover during the extraction of coir fibre from coconut husk.

Coir Pith is a lightweight, compressible material. It is very hygroscopic and can store 7 to 8 times its weight in water. Coir pith may be compressed into a wide range of added-value products, including seed cells, propagation modules, and so forth. Coir Pith Block is intended for use in commercial nurseries and greenhouses. This soil conditioner is appropriate for all sorts of garden plants, medicinal plants, fruits, grass, flowers, orchids and vegetables grown in pots or directly on the ground.
